Building Fire

Quint 1, Engine 1-2, Engine 1-3, Engine 13-1

Units were dispatched to 1063 York Road just before 06:00 for a reported building fire. Quint 1 arrived to find fire in an attached storage area. Quint 1's crew pulled 1 3/4" attack lines and made a quick knockdown, while also cooling a propane tank which started to vent itself upon as the crews deployed the handlines. The propane cylinder can be seen in the first photo.

Engine 1-2 made a reverse lay from Quint 1 to a hydrant that was a few hundred feet beyond the scene. The fire was controlled at 06:20 and units returned to service at 07:46. Adams County Fire Marshall (FM2) and State Police fire marshalls were called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
