[Hot Shot Photo 1] Gettysburg Fire Department was dispatched mutual aid to a fire on Christmas Eve with Fairfield Fire Company. In this photo, Gettysburg firefighters David Blocher and Steve Carbaugh make entry into the first floor of the structure in an effort to stop flames from advancing throughout the dwelling.

Firefighters only means of attacking fire in attic area was by ladder after stairway inside structure had burned away by rapid spread of the fire.
