RESPONDING APPARATUS:
Engine 1-2, Engine 1-3, Quint 1, Rescue 1, Co. 1 Ambulance
At 1622 hours on Christmas day the Gettysburg Fire Department was dispatched with a structure assignment to 130 Carlisle St. in the borough for a reported house fire. Chief 1 (Weikert) arrived on scene with smoke showing from the exterior. Engine 1-2 and the Lieutenant (Noel) responded with six and stretched an 1-3/4 attack line to the front door (side A). While Engine 1-2's crew made entry and began attacking the fire, Engine 1-3 arrived on side C and stretched an additional attack line.

Seconds later Quint 1 arrived on scene (side A) and laddered the roof. The fire was under control at 1638, with crews shutting off the gas to the furnace and beginning overhaul. Also responding to the alarm were Rescue 1 and Co. 1 ambulance. Units cleared at 1745 hours. The Gettysburg Borough Fire Marshall (Lawver) is investigating the incident.
