5/27/98 at 14:22 hrs.

[Hot Shot Photo 1] Gettysburg Fire department and Medic 28 were dispatched to a vehicle accident with confinement at the intersection of Chambersburg Rd. and Knoxlyn Rd. at 14:22 hrs. A motorhome collided with this vehicle trapping the driver inside the vehicle . In this photo, firefighters James Turner and Donald Gantz begin stabilizing vehicle, as firefighter Steve Carbaugh hooks up Hurst tool.


[Hot Shot Photo 2] Shown in this photo, crew from Rescue 1 works to open drivers door with Hurst Tool to free driver from the vehicle.


[Hot Shot Photo 3] A paramedic from Medic 28 communicates with driver as firefighter Donald Gantz uses Hurst tool to make access to the patient. Drivers of both vehicles sustained minor injuries and were transported to Gettysburg Hospital for treatment. Units were in service at 14:50 hrs.
