The recipient of the "Eugene S. Sickles Memorial Award" will be judged in the following manner:

A. Qualifications:

1. The proposed member must have attained the classification of Life member.
2. The award is to be for the overall faithful and devoted service to the Department during the proposed member's entire membership in the Department.
3. The faithful and devoted service must, as close as possible, exemplify those qualities shown by Eugene S. Sickles.
4. The award may be presented to a living member or a deceased member posthumously.

B. Method of presenting the names of members to be considered for the award:

1. Any member of the Department may submit the name of any Life member, living or deceased, whom they think should be considered for this award to the Board of Trustees, in writing, with a resume stating their reasons for submitting the name for consideration. This should be submitted to the Board of Trustees by the December meeting.
2. The Board of Trustees will then carefully study each name and resume submitted verifying all information.
3. The Board of Trustees will make the final decision of the submitted member's name which closest exemplifies the qualities of those of Eugene S. Sickles.
If no names are submitted, the Board of Trustees will then consider and make a choice from the above classified members.
5. Any member's name may be submitted as many times as anyone wishes, but no member may recieve the "Eugene S. Sickles Memorial Award" more than once.
6. The decision of the Board of Trustees will remain secret until the actual presentation of the award.
