The museum is located on the north side of the Gettysburg Fire Department, and was built as part of the new station in 1992. The facility itself boasts adjustable lighting, the red rotator light from the old firehouse, and various display cases. The collection is housed in these display cases, on various stands, or in cabinets located within the museum. The museum committee is also currently working to get a computer for the museum that will be used to catalog items electronically.
