Just a few hours after responding to an MVC within the Gettysburg Boro limits, Engine 1-1 was alerted to assist Co.22 with a MVC in front of the Sheetz on Route 97 (Baltimore Pike) Box 22-1. Chief 22 (Hubbard) arrived in the area but unable to locate the accident and upon callback and further investigation the accident was found to be on Route 15 Southbound at the exit ramp to Route 97 (Baltimore Pike). Chief 22 arrived at the new location and confirmed a 2 vehicle accident with injuries and one patient confined and established Command. This new location would now change the incident to be located in Box 1-9 , however the assignment was held as originally dispatched w/ Co.1 and Co.22 personnel both working to access the patient utilizing Rescue 22. Upon further investigation it was found that one of the vehicles had struck a parked pickup truck that stopped along the shoulder of the road , no injuries reported in the 2nd vehicle. The patient was removed from the vehicle and placed into the care of AREMS for transport to a local trauma center.
