On Saturday April 19th @ 1551 hrs Rescue 1 was alerted to assist Co. 4 (Cashtown) & other mutual aid companies in the area of Chambersburg Rd. (Route 30) & Crooked Creek Rd. in Box 4-1 for a vehicle into a home with entrapment. Assistant Chief 4 arrived to find a single vehicle collision into a mobile with one patient trapped in the car along with one under the vehicle inside the home. The lone occupant of the car was able to self - extricate, however the patient under the car required an extensive extrication to be removed. All units and personnel worked for approximately 1 hour to free the patient from under the vehicle, who was then transported to an awaiting helicopter at the LZ that was established by E1-1.
