As the 25th Gettysburg Bike Week rolled into town and the surrounding area, so did the volume of calls for our dedicated volunteers. Beginning on Thursday July 10th through Sunday July 13th, the GFD responded to approximately 20 calls for service, ranging from Medical Assists, Vehicle and Motorcycle accidents, Fire Alarms and Fire Police responses. Not only were our volunteers responding to emergencies and staffing the firehouse, but during their down time they also conducted training, station cleaning and apparatus checks. We would like to thank all our personnel who gave up some of their time to keep our residents and visitors safe.
