**Updated Service Information below** It is with profound sadness that the Gettysburg Fire Department announce the passing of Life Member Ray Eiker on 9/3/25. Per the family they will have the military service he deserves wearing his dress blues honoring his years of service as a Marine in Vietnam and as a lifetime firefighter, he will take his final ride on a fire truck. We offer our condolences, thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Ray.

The Viewing Services for FF Ray Eiker will commence at the Kenworthy Funeral Home in Bonneauville from 10a.m. to 11:00a.m. on Wednesday September 10th. At 11:15 hrs. there will be a procession to Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg, followed by a Luncheon at the Gettysburg Fire Department Community Hall.

FD Members are requested to report to the Gettysburg Fire Station no later than 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday Sept. 10th then proceed to the Funeral Home. If your schedule does not allow you to meet at the Fire Station, you can go directly to the funeral home. Members are requested to report in Class “A” uniform if you have one.

Eng. 1-2 and Traffic 1 will report to the funeral home for procession, sign up sheet on web site.

Truck 1 will report to the Cemetery for 11a.m. to assist Truck 33 with the Flag detail, sign up sheet on the GFD web site. Truck 1 can report to the Funeral Home but must be in place by 11a.m. Truck 33 will have the display flag.
