| At approximately 2347 hours on October 23, 2025, the Gettysburg Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Burnside Drive and Heritage Drive in Lake Heritage for a reported vehicle fire. Deputy Chief 1 (McGonigal) arrived on the scene to find a Ford pickup truck fully involved in the roadway. Company 22 was requested for additional manpower to assist with fire suppression efforts. Units operated on scene for approximately one hour before the box was placed in service. The vehicle was determined to be a total loss. Deputy Chief 1 maintained command throughout the incident. The occupant of the vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital by EMS for minor burns. |
