Mutual Aid to Co.22 for the Building Fire

On Tuesday July 14th @ 1240 hours Co.22 and their 1st alarm units were dispatched for a building fire at 746 Barlow Road (Barlow Road Repairs). Chief 22 (Hubbard) reported a large column of smoke in the air while en-route as additional calls were being received at the Comm Center and @ 1241 hours the Working Fire Dispatch was sounded adding Engine 1-1 and Rescue 1 to the call. Co.1 units arrived on scene and assisted with manpower, while Engine 1-1 was redirected to a nearby pond to set up a fill site where they filled numerous tankers during the operation. Personnel operated on the scene for approximately 2 1/2 hours with numerous FD's from Adams & Franklin Counties along with MA from Frederick County, MD.
