2 Alarm Building Fire in Gettysburg Borough

1036 hours on Valentines Day 02-14-21 the pre-alert was struck for Box 1 @ 240 Steinwehr Ave (Flex & Flannigan's). Adams County 911 began receiving multiple calls with additional reports of explosions from the location and was in the process of striking the Working Fire Dispatch as Chief 1 (Mizenko) was provided the additional information and with a large column of black smoke from the area and GPD on scene advising smoke from the roof, Chief Mizenko requested the 2nd alarm to be struck. Chief 1 arrived on scene , confirmed a working fire on Division 2 and established the Steinwehr Ave Command. Units operated for nearly 2 hours with the last Co.1 unit clearing at 1348 hours. As of this time the cause remains undetermined. A huge Thank You goes out to all our Mutual Aid companies who assisted today on this incident.
