On March 1st, 2025 the Gettysburg Fire Department held its Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet to honor the hard work and dedication of our members throughout 2024. This event serves as a crucial opportunity to acknowledge those who have gone above and beyond in their service to the community.

The banquet celebrated the collective efforts of our firefighters, recognizing their commitment, bravery, and teamwork.

In addition to individual accolades, we also highlighted team efforts that contributed to remarkable achievements within the department and beyond to include the Gettysburg Police Department, whose officers show bravery and dedication every day, even during incidents that are outside their scope of work.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to all members of the Gettysburg Fire Department. Your dedication throughout 2024 has not gone unnoticed, and your hard work has fostered a culture of excellence within our team. Each member plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and trust of our community.

Firefighter of the Year - Kevin Kuntz Jr.

Fire Police Award - Mark Fruehan

Eugene Sickles Award - The award is to be for the overall faithful and devoted service to the Department during the proposed member's entire membership in the Department. - Albert Knerr Jr.

Chiefs Award - Robert Harbaugh

Outgoing Officers - Ken Shetter, (President), Dale Powell, (Vice President), James Gallagher (Trustee)
