| On Friday, February 27, 2026, at approximately 7:15 a.m., GFD and AREMS were dispatched to the 2900 block of York Road, near the Dal-Tile company, for a motor vehicle collision involving a vehicle into a building. While responding, Adams 911 reported a vehicle had struck the building and there was one injury.
Units arrived to find a single passenger vehicle had crossed over York Road, traveled through a wooden fence, and struck the Dal-Tile building on Side A. The vehicle came to rest outside the structure. Investigation revealed the driver, who was the only occupant, was unable to exit the vehicle, and a door pop was needed to gain access.
After gaining entry, AREMS assessed the driver and assisted him to a MICU for transport to an area hospital. The driver sustained minor injuries.
The building suffered significant damage, but further investigation determined there was no structural compromise, and the area struck was unoccupied at the time. Engine 1-2 and Rescue 1 assisted with hazard management, including securing a full propane cylinder found in the vehicle that was not leaking.
No further fire department services were required, and the scene was turned over to Pennsylvania State Police and Dal-Tile management. |
