2 Car MVC w/Injuries

Box 1-8 @ 18:09hrs GFD & AREMS dispatched to the intersection of Hunterstown-Hampton Rd and Granite Station for a report of a MVC with possible entrapment. AREMS Medic 54-4 AOS and reported a 2 car MVC, (-) entrapment, all occupants out of the vehicle. 1 vehicle into a telephone pole. DC-1 AOS established Command w/ Rescue 1 personnel controlling hazards on the roadway and securing the involved vehicles. Engine 1-1 placed in service prior to arrival. 1 patient transported to a trauma facility with non-life threatening injuries.

Met-Ed requested for severed utility pole.

Fire Police from Company 1 & 25 assisted with shutting down the roadways. PSP on scene investigating.

Once again, GREAT WORK by your response team! Perhaps the county should look into the reason why SO MANY accidents happen at this intersection. This is the THIRD this year. There is a dip in the road, making it almost impossible to see oncoming cars. Cars have to pull out into the intersection before proceeding. A four way stop is needed. Thankfully, no one has been killed. Thank you all again, for your hard work and professionalism!
